Opening Art & Encounters

After stops in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, and Hamburg, the alliance of international production houses is continuing its Kunst & Begegnungen (Art & Encounters) event series at HELLERAU as part of the ‘Watch Out!’ festival. 

In the Kunst & Begegnungen (Art & Encounters) event series, seven theaters of the Bündnis (Kampnagel, HAU Hebel am Ufer, PACT Zollverein, Mousonturm, FFT, tanzhaus nrw, HELLERAU) will discuss strategies for participation in a diverse society: coexistence in diverse neighborhoods, resistance strategies in social networks, tensions between generations, solidarity-based organization in times of political and financial crisis, and, again and again, the opening of theaters and the opportunity to help shape them as livable spaces for encounter.
