One of the most important priorities of the production houses that comprise the alliance is the fine-tuning of training programmes designed to foster the professional development of individuals active in the independent theatre community. In keeping with this concern, the alliance has developed three academy formats for individuals looking to deepen their industry-specific skills. The Academy for Performing Arts Producers already trains young producers, and the Academy for Contemporary Theatre Journalism was launched in the autumn of 2019. In 2021, the Art and Encounters Academy took place, which explored participation, inclusion and new social practices as artistic strategies.
